Entrance design in Moscow
December 2015

The customer needed to refresh the entrance to the basement before renting it out. Serious inconveniences have been caused by the size limitation of designing structures. On the right side, the entrance outbuilding was bounded with an automatic barrier, and a neighboring shop window was blocking it from the left.
The first variant of the image implies the installation of a frameless panoramic external "jumbo" type glazing.
The second variant was to erect two blind side walls and a plane glass with an entrance door.
The new inclined monolithic element of the staircase cover is partly outstanding above the pedestrian level of the street, so in both variants it is proposed to be decorated with a flower bed or expanded clay gravel.
The concept of the entrance implies the dismantling of its existing overground part and stairs. It's been also decided to develop a better convenient ladder with a higher passage above it. The roof is flat and provided with an organized drainage using long stainless chain. |
