Facility Complex for VDNH in Moscow

The customer needed to describe the exterior and the arrangment of a complex of technical buildings located on the territory of VDNH. In the future a realization contest, based on the conception, was held.
The functional zoning of the complex is divided into special blocks, while in some buildings several blocks are located at once.
In a two-story building with a flat roof there is Block 2 - the administration of the complex.
A repair area is arranged in Block 3. On its ground floor there is a carpentry workshop with a second light and utility rooms, on the first floor there are locker rooms and offices.
On both floors of the Block 4, motor depot and repair area warehouses are arranged.
In the Block 5 there are dispatchers, on the ground floor there is also a first-aid post, on the first floor there are various offices of engineering services.
The blocks 5 and 6 border with a spacious parking lot. The block 6 is an open car wash for large vehicles.
In a single two-storeyed volume there are blocks 7-9: workshops, common rooms and gardening equipment warehouse. On the ground floor there are warehouses of cleaning equipment, logistics and repair shop. On the first floor there are locker rooms, recreation areas for staff and a warehouse for landscapers.
The exterior of the complex, despite its exceptionally technical function, needed to correspond to modern architectural images. Therefore the appearance of the buildings contains the materials that are as close as possible to the materials of public zone of VDNH. The walls and gable roofs of the buildings are covered with wood texture HPL-panels, and each block has the chosen color in the design of glazing slopes and fronton zones.
